LONG (about 150 words)
Khalifah is a free building game made for Muslim families with children aged about five to twelve. Children shape a village from sand, marble, glazed tile and gold, plant date palms and raise fountains. Five times in every game day the adhan sounds across the village, and the villagers, each with a trade of their own, line up for prayer. Children can lay down a carpet and join them.

Inside the world is a small madrasah with eight short classes, from Arabic letters and wudu to manners and history, and a Quran stand with seven short surahs in Arabic, transliteration and English. The game never recites; it points children back to a parent and a teacher.

There are no monsters, no timers and no way to fail. Friends join with a private code, device to device. There are no ads, purchases, accounts or tracking. Khalifah plays in a web browser at khalifah.app.
